Upcoming Event: Woolf Works Wednesday

Woolf Works Wednesday

Join us for a very special Woolf Works Wednesday this month. We will learn about and discuss the Mindfulness Framework – an amazing tool for governance of country, the business world and of the self.

We will also discuss a Bhutan trip which Khatiza is guiding in October and I would love a small team from our Woolf Works community to get involved with!

We will have the usual wine and great snacks available for your reasonable ticket price. Please join our last social session before many leave for summer holidays!

Event: Woolf Works Wednesday: Mindfulness
Date: Wednesday – June 10, 2015
Time: 7:00 – 10:00 PM (SGT)
Venue: Woolf Works – #02-01, 176 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore

More about our evening:

In these VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) times, is a “Pause for Reflection” considered a luxury or a necessity?

In the midst of constant challenges, how do we:

· Inspire ourselves as individuals to sustain our values through mindful practices?

· Empower ourselves as cohesive team members through the habits of mindful team leadership?

· Engage in social responsibility that creates the ripple effect of mindfulness in communities?

Upcoming Event: Woolf Works Wednesday

Woolf Works Wednesday

Woolf Works Wednesdays are always a great way to meet the women (and men are also welcome!) of our wider community – we are a diverse and creative bunch! We are also a friendly bunch, please feel free to come along on your own or with a group of friends.

We will as always have fabulous wine and food – with a glass of New Zealand wine on arrival from Underground Wines and healthy finger food from Be_!

This month we will be focusing on the Entrepreneur Journeys of two ambitious, Singapore-based women:

Waki Yonoeka founded Memom in 2013. Memom is an early stage startup which provides an innovative photo solution for families. She is passionate about simplifying the life of young parents with technology with user-friendly products. Memom’s app is a hassle-free photo-journaling tool to record the story of your each child’s growth. It will also help you send periodic updates to your family with beautiful collage cards. The app launches shortly, using technology Waki and her team have been working on fervently for a couple of years. Her professional background is in the financial services sector, having worked with KPMG, Financial Advisory Services in Tokyo. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and U.S. CPA.

Majella Skansebakken founded Ni’Night in 2008 when she saw a gap in the market for good quality children’s furniture in Singapore. In 2010 she renovated a little shophouse on Joo Chiat Place which became the beautiful children’s store we know and love. Majella is also extremely active in helping various charities in Cambodia through donation drives, funding help and business support. This is one very busy lady who gives a lot of herself to help others.

We will also have a raffle on the night – prizes announced soon.

Upcoming Event: The Balanced Mother Workshop

The Balanced Mother is an interactive workshop aimed at helping you explore the concept of balance, understand the positive impact it can have on yourself and take first steps towards creating a more balanced life – one day at a time!

The Balanced Mother WorkshopMotherhood changes our lives completely and shifts attention to loving, nurturing and raising our children. Whether working mothers or stay-at-home mothers, our thoughts and schedules are determined by fulfilling the wonderful role of being a mother.

While motherhood is a wonderful and fulfilling experience it can also throw us off balance and leave us with too little time to handle the multiplicity of roles in our lives, be it in our personal or professional environment.

Event:The Balanced Mother Workshop
Date: Friday- March 20, 2015
Time: 9:30 AM – 12 PM (SGT)
Venue: Woolf Works – #02-01, 176 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore

This interactive workshop provides a space and time for mothers to take a breath, focus on themselves and reflect on the concept of balance in their lives. It also enables mothers to share experiences and challenges with each other – something that our previous attendants found to be very powerful. During the workshop we also introduce simple tools to use during and beyond the workshop to help in creating a more balanced life.

The Balanced Mother is a workshop developed and run by Jasmin Braun, owner and certified coach at evoke coaching (www.evoke-coaching.net). Jasmin specializes in coaching women towards personal and professional development. In her work as a coach she has helped many women and mothers create a more balanced life for themselves and their families.
